Pasta Zara tomato basil sauce is a gentle, easy sauce for quick Italian-style everyday cooking. Bragagnolo Penne Rigate gives the dish a firm bite, and a splash of pasta cooking water brings the sauce and pasta together.
Ingredients
- 1 jar Pasta Zara tomato basil sauce 280 g
- 250 g Bragagnolo Penne Rigate pasta
- about 100 ml pasta cooking water
- parmesan or mozzarella
- fresh basil
- a little olive oil, if desired
Method
- Cook Bragagnolo Penne Rigate al dente according to the package instructions. Reserve about 100 ml of pasta cooking water before draining.
- Warm the whole jar of Pasta Zara tomato basil sauce in a pan.
- Add the pasta to the sauce and mix gently. Add a small splash of pasta cooking water.
- Finish briefly in the pan until the pasta and sauce form a juicy, even dish.
- Serve with parmesan or mozzarella, fresh basil and a little olive oil if desired.
Make it your own
Add cherry tomatoes, roasted courgette or cooked chicken if you want a more filling pasta. Keep the flavour fresh so tomato and basil stay in focus.
