A warm tomato pasta with Pasta Zara Arrabbiata sauce and Bragagnolo Penne Rigate, ready in about 15 minutes.
Use the whole 280 g jar with 250 g of pasta. Al dente Bragagnolo Penne Rigate, the full jar of Arrabbiata sauce and a splash of pasta cooking water create a balanced, juicy and lively pasta dish.
Ingredients
- 1 jar Pasta Zara Arrabbiata sauce 280 g
- 250 g Bragagnolo Penne Rigate pasta
- about 100 ml pasta cooking water
- parmesan or pecorino
- fresh parsley
- a little olive oil, if desired
Method
- Cook Bragagnolo Penne Rigate al dente according to the package instructions. Reserve about 100 ml of pasta cooking water before draining.
- Warm the whole jar of Pasta Zara Arrabbiata sauce in a pan.
- Add the pasta to the sauce. Add a small splash of cooking water and mix gently.
- Finish the pasta in the pan until the pasta and sauce form a juicy, even dish.
- Serve with parmesan or pecorino, fresh parsley and a little olive oil if desired.
Make it your own
Add fried chicken, peppers or aubergine if you want a more filling meal. The sauce already has chilli warmth, so add extra chilli with care.

Penne Rigate works well with Arrabbiata because the ridged tube shape suits tomato-based and spicy sauces. Finishing the pasta in the pan with sauce and pasta water gives the dish a polished Italian feel.
