Summer pairing

- juice of 1/2 lemon

Bergamot and lemon make Earl Grey a fresh, easy summer iced tea.
The Colonial Tea Company Earl Grey gets its classic character from black tea and bergamot. Lemon sharpens the flavour and ice makes it light, fresh and easy to serve.
Ingredients
- 1 l water
- 5 tsp Earl Grey loose tea
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- lemon slices
- honey or sugar syrup
- plenty of ice
Method
- Heat the water until almost boiling.
- Brew the Earl Grey loose tea for about 4 minutes.
- Strain the tea and let it cool.
- Add lemon juice and a little sweetness if desired.
- Serve with plenty of ice and lemon slices.
Bergamot and lemon lift each other, making the drink familiar but a little more special.
