The Colonial Tea Company English Breakfast is a blend built from Ceylon and Darjeeling teas. As iced tea, it gives a clear black tea body refreshed by lemon.

Ingredients

  • 1 l water
  • 5 tsp English Breakfast loose tea
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • lemon slices
  • honey or sugar syrup
  • ice

Method

  1. Heat the water until almost boiling.
  2. Brew the English Breakfast loose tea for about 4 minutes.
  3. Strain and let the tea cool.
  4. Add lemon juice and lightly sweeten if desired.
  5. Serve with ice and lemon slices.

English Breakfast gives iced tea a full-bodied base. Lemon makes it familiar, fresh and approachable.
